Program Overview
The Eastern CT Travel Voucher Program is a transportation service that provides subsidized taxi, livery or wheelchair accessible rides to enrolled, eligible participants residing in eastern Connecticut. The purpose of this program is to provide an affordable, accessible transportation alternative when existing transit services are not able to meet their transportation need. This service will allow the individual greater flexibility to employment, healthcare facilities, shopping, education, etc.
Program Eligibility
To utilize the service, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Applicant must have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. Users do not need to be ADA qualified
Applicant must be residing in eastern Connecticut. See map below for town listing.

Vouchers
Riders must acquire vouchers to utilize the service. Riders may call any one of the approved taxi vendors to book the trip based on vendor availability, and use the voucher for payment. Vouchers can be used for various trip purposes such as medical, shopping, restaurants, entertainment, personal, etc. However, vouchers cannot be used for transportation to/from school for grades K through 12.For more details on vouchers see the voucher purchase link below.
