If you are a student who uses our bus routes, please remember to renew your U-Pass if you attend UConn or another university that is enrolled.  You will need your pass to be able to ride WRTD routes for free.

For UConn students click here.  For all other students attending CT colleges and universities, check here for eligibility.

Ride Systems has updated their app for smartphones and tablets which includes our fixed route services. It should be easier to use.  Some updates include:

• Tap a stop to see the estimated arrival time for the nearest vehicle on the route.
• Add notifications for updates on route changes.
• Don’t want to miss the bus? Tap the bell next to a stop to set stop reminders so you never have to worry.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation has informed WRTD that they are fully funding the transportation fund. There will be no funding cuts at WRTD this year.

Please be advised that the Department of Transportation has proposed 15% budget cuts to WRTD’s budget starting on July 1st. Please view more information by clicking here.
